| Where Are They Going To Get Plutonium? |

So what the hell is this crap? Pluto is a planet. That's what I learnt and that's what I'm sticking to.
Its not just a planet, but the planet. Its icey cold exterior and love for solitude reminds me a lot of myself.
Its now going to be refferred to as a "dwarf planet." I'm assuming they will be constructing some sort of beard and hat for it.
And what's Mickey Mouse supposed to say. "Yeah my dogs named after a dwarf planet that's highly elliptical orbit overlaps with that of Neptune ... no not the 9th plant in the Solar System"
But seriously, this is a pretty big thing. Books are going to be rewritten. I think I'll head down to Waterstones tommorow and get an astronmy book the way I remember it.
Pluto is old school astronomy people. Don't you forget it.
EDIT.

Oh I’ll rant, I’ll rant like a giant ant and the letter “R” getting together to make a mega Rant offspring. EDIT - decided this would make a nice picture
There are plenty of reasons Rupert Murdoch is not allowed to the monthly Evil Poker Party - one of which is mentioned in today’s comic, but is far too painful for all involved to go delving back into.
So for those who don’t know Rupert Murdoch is the media mogul behind NewsCorp, but you may be more familiar with the likes of FOX, Sky, The Sun and The Times newspapers etc and now he’s apparently got his teeth in the upcoming UK version of MySpace.
Now FOX is awesome. It makes countless great movies and shows, just consider how many 20th Century FOX releases you see in a day. Its big potatoes.
FOX makes some of the funniest shows to day – The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy ... FOX News.
Now appologies to anyone who is a devout FOX News viewer, but I have honestly never seen such a ridiculously constructed, subjective hash of facts as when watching this. Perhaps the most infuriating man alive is Bill O Reilly. It is absolutely baffling what he is allowed to say as part of a Fair and Balanced show.
But hey, if I go any deeper I’ll hit politics, which I can’t be bothered with.
I could go into what annoys me about The Sun newspaper, but why don’t you just look at a recent front cover.
Then marvel at the cranial capacity of the British layman. Fortunately The Times has some sort of status so wont degrade into the likes of this anytime soon.
So what about the last panel in today’s comic? I think Ali is getting at the fact that FOX seem to just cancel great shows just for the hell of it. Futurama and Family Guy are prime examples, but it seems they’ve realised that it makes them money so both are / will be back.
I personally think The Simpsons has had its day. It peaked around Season 7 / 8 but then slipped pretty dramatically. But hey I wouldn’t be sitting here today if it wasn’t for The Simpsons, so let’s not go too far down that road.
Now arguably Rupert Murdoch doesn’t control it all down to the mini headlines in The Sun, but he is that Sauron – esque type all seeing eye seeing his political agenda seeping out through his media empire.
Not a nice character in my opinion. |
