| Better For Everyone. |
[Sep. 8th, 2006|12:25 pm] |
Right. So most of you won't notice this, but I've tagged the crap out of the entire LJ. So basically if you want to read about say Movie themed posts, its now a lot easier for you to do so. Have a look around, its pretty nicely organised so you can jump to whatever you wish to read back on.
I share because I care |

| Where Are They Going To Get Plutonium? |
[Aug. 24th, 2006|06:48 pm] |
So what the hell is this crap? Pluto is a planet. That's what I learnt and that's what I'm sticking to.
Its not just a planet, but the planet. Its icey cold exterior and love for solitude reminds me a lot of myself.
Its now going to be refferred to as a "dwarf planet." I'm assuming they will be constructing some sort of beard and hat for it.
And what's Mickey Mouse supposed to say. "Yeah my dogs named after a dwarf planet that's highly elliptical orbit overlaps with that of Neptune ... no not the 9th plant in the Solar System"
But seriously, this is a pretty big thing. Books are going to be rewritten. I think I'll head down to Waterstones tommorow and get an astronmy book the way I remember it.
Pluto is old school astronomy people. Don't you forget it.
EDIT.

| I'm Not An "Emo" |
[Jul. 11th, 2006|11:32 am] |

Seeing Ali looking like a jackass this morning made me think about a few things to do with the current state of subculture these days.
The term “emo” is thrown around like confetti. I am a goth, a non conformist goth but a goth nonetheless. But “my look” is apparently emo.
I used to associate the look of “emo” as kinda nerdy alternative. Weezer being the prime example in band form. But somewhere along the line there’s been a bastardisation between that, punks and goths to create this strange little society of stripes, fringes and androgyny.
I think the term “emo” just a very bad generalisation, such as “chav” or as we used to be called “grungers,” but these little emos seem to be flooding the streets with their impossibly tight jeans and ambiguous world perspective.
I guess this confusion of identity has something to do with the music. First the bands start singing quite melodically (but often too high, probably on account of those aforementioned jeans), then they scream like they’ve been put through a mangle for a bit, then they might sing again.
Emo dancing I find utterly hilarious as well. I think they keep their angst in their fringes so priming it while they bob up and down in a hunched position might relieve them somewhat.
I’m not for or against any of it. I’ve seen, done and experienced all these kids are supposedly “going through” and it’s kind of cute.
Let us just remember that the minute Claire’s Accessories starts supplying you with your fashion basis, you start to wonder how much potency your statement through your identity is making. |

| Big News |
[Apr. 1st, 2006|08:12 am] |
Now the reason for my radio silence last couple of weeks is that i've been working on something big. I basically had a idea come to me in a dream, and I'm going with it.
Its a brand new kids comic that involves a pig and his friends on adventures. Here's a mock up of the Issue #1 cover.
And yes ... That is my real name
Now I know what you're thinking. You think a goth such as I shouldn't be making happy kids comics. But you're wrong.
Although having submitted the idea to a couple of publishers. A certain very large one (can't say yet for legal reasons) decided to give it the green light. With a few conditions.
They said I had to change my look. To which I refused. Then they gave me a lot of money. To which I agreed.
Its really not all that bad. Check out the indie chique.
They also said having Death as my sidekick wasn't the right "look" for them. Again with a lot of money persuasion they helped convince Death to change
 Now he's hilarious and lovable.
The publishers are now backing us whole hog (pun intended), and have an awesome line of merchandise lined up. Check it out all the way from t-shirts
 To pig flavoured gum
Its all go people. I hope you'll support me on my new venture. |

[Jan. 17th, 2006|07:05 pm] |
Well sorry for the lack of word. This weekend was a nightmare. I really dunno where my illness came from but it royally kicked my ass. I'm on the mend though, with copious amounts of painkillers and daytime Television, I'll be right as rain in no time.
... Oh and I'm not drawing Batgirl. |

If you're wondering where i am. I am currently nursing a hideous hangover while my throat feels as though it has been set upon by rabid hedgehogs with power sanders. |

| Validate Me. |
[Jan. 9th, 2006|05:01 pm] |
Hey kids. I'm in search of validation, so if you find the time. How's about nominating me for a Weblog Award. I feel its been a good year for this blog, we've got ourselves a nice little readership, and i've enjoyed sharing with you.
(By the way I am a British Blog) I may well have a bitch for you a little later on. |

You know what folks. The world of Webcomics annoys me greatly right now. I think i need to do something about it.

I hope everyone had a very Christmas, or Christmas equivalent. It was pretty fun my end. MY big present was from Ali. He got me this spiffy Wireless PDA, so when i'm out on my wild and wacky adventures, I can always update my LJ (very considerate indeed)
I'll try and post pictures of the weekend's events, but for now I must visit my mum (not my choice), and gorge on leftover Christmassy food. |

[Oct. 28th, 2005|08:26 am] |
Go buy it. I look damn hot.
So its almost halloween. Which is pretty cool. So i figure i might just chuck a little thing out at you fine people and see what happens.
I wanna see some funky Halloween stuff of yours, whether it be pumpkins, costumes etc. If i see any HOUSD themed stuffs you'll get some serious bonus points (and i'll chuck some stickers your way or something)
Go wild. |

[Sep. 20th, 2005|09:15 pm] |
So what with Ali moving away to uni and all. I won't have such ready access to my LJ (me being a fictional character using his computer and all).
I'll try and drop by with all my titbits of genius and charm. But if you're ever in a bind email me - stitch@housd.net and I'll do my darndest to respond.
This is probably a false alarm. But better to be prepared for nuclear war than to end up with two heads and only one ear. Yes. This is no longer a weblog. This is nuclear war people |

| Mail |
[Sep. 7th, 2005|08:41 am] |
I just got a mail asking for advice about stuff. Although it was adressed to Ali's mail. If you want to skip the middle man why not mail me direct stitch@housd.net
Send me whatever you want. I enjoy reading mail ... in the dark ... while feasting on marmite |

| Hmm. |
[Aug. 10th, 2005|11:09 am] |
So yeah. Sorry about the complete deadness of the journal. Its not that my life is dead, but the fact that its not anything worth noting. I feel as though I have done my little novelty appearence on HOUSD, and then got shoved to the bottom of the pile to await the odd cameo and sarcastic quip ... but it beats living with my mum.
Maybe I should take up a hobby or something to pass the time. |

anyone know any good jokes? |

| Moving On |
[Jul. 8th, 2005|01:57 pm] |
So yesterday's events seem somewhat distant. I feel quite numb to the whole event. Those were places I have been hundreds of times. You take so much for granted in the world, and its days like yesterday which just highlight how exposed we are.
Terrorism seemed like a buzz word which got overused by people thousands of miles away. Now its so close.
... Is this the world we're going to be living in? |

Dang. There is one uber thunder storm going on outside. I seriously just heard the loudest clap ive ever heard in my life (except for the clap i got for leaving the stage in the talent contest)
Thunder storms are great. Theirs nothing better than living the pure cliche that is graveyard in a thunderstorm. Ah happy dark days. |

Well, not a great deal to announce. The heat is still pretty unbearable, to be honest I don't blame him.
I guess I better congratulate Ali for finishing school today. School was a hard time for me. Lots of painful days with nothing to do, but pick faeces out of my hair, after having my head shoved down the toilet. Oh well. Atleast I came out the other end normal.
... in other news I just consumed 3 horror novels in order to absorb the scary. |
