I Just Died A Little
Not many things make me jump up and scream at the television. But I came across perhaps the most disturbing advert I have seen in years.


Now Barbie has her very own best friend, Tanner! Tanner is soft and fuzzy, and his mouth, ears, head and tail really move just like a real dog. Tanner comes with a dog bone and chew toys, and you can open his mouth to feed him dog biscuits. When Tanner has to go to the bathroom, Barbie cleans up with her special magnetic scooper and trash can.


Now baby dolls that double as water pistols I can just about take. But come on a magnetic scooper?

This advert litteraly sees the smiling girls make this dog crap on the floor, then manipulate Barbie to magic magnet that turd.

I'm scared ... and I want one ... for research purposes.

I like how dog biscuts and dog poop look the same. So that dog is either eatting a biscut or is about to get disentary.

no such thing as redundent comments. The bigger the number the cooler I look.
Plus having uber talented musicians comment on plastic dog poop makes me feel ever so special.

Why are the toy industry so bloody obsessed with toy products that pee and poop? Surely there are far more creative ideas boxed up in their bureaucratic imaginations... they are being paid enough to conjure some up.

I'm gonna post an article about this specific doll on my blog, 'diary of Barbie's Worst Enemy' tomorrow because I think there are many issues surrounding it, such as: Is this doll really teaching kids the responsibilities surrounding pets? When it really crys out: Don't worry kids, your mother will shovel all the shit up when you get a dog!
